Crawshaw Paints Acrylics

This series was shot entirely on location, in and around the scenic Ring of Kerry in south west Ireland, which provided Alwyn and June with some fantastic landscapes and scenery to paint.
Acrylic paints combine the best aspects of oil and watercolour, as well as having their own unique qualities.
This DVD provides a step by step guide to the techniques and materials needed for painting in acrylic and the eight chapters combine to make a complete course.
A wide range of locations and subjects are painted, including the inside of a pub, a still life of flowers, thatched cottages and the famous Lakes of Killarney.

This series follows Alwyn on a fabulous cruise on board the Saga Rose, an elegant ship built for Cunard in the 1960s. The series starts in Jordan, and from there Alwyn cruises down the Red Sea to Egypt, then up through the Suez Canal to Israel.
Finally, he crosses the Mediterranean, spending a day in Sicily before reaching his final destinations, Cadiz and Seville. Alwyn visits and paints some wonderful locations during the cruise, including the rose red city of Petra, the banks of the Nile from a felucca, the Pyramids, Jerusalem and Seville. Alwyn CrawshawAlwyn Crawshaw was born at Mirfield, Yorkshire and studied at Hastings School of Art . He now lives in Hickling, Norwich, Norfolk, with his wife June. Alwyn works in watercolour, oils and acrylics. Shot on location in the Bahamas, this colourful series is a step-by-step guide to the techniques and materials needed for successful sketching and drawing.
Alwyn and his wife June co-present the series and give advice on sketching people, animals, plants, boats and buildings.
Each chapter includes demonstrations of different sketching media, including pencils, pastels, felt-tips, charcoal, oils and watercolour. Each chapter also shows how to complete a successful sketch in less than three minutes in real time.
Locations include the Governor’s House in Nassau for the Changing of the Guard, the three mile long Coral Sands Beach, a viewing platform thirty feet under the sea, Paradise Island and a flamingo sanctuary.
