The goal of Rome: Total War is to conquer, rule, and manipulate the Roman Empire until you're declared the Imperator of Rome. Rome: Total War is set in a time when the mighty Roman Empire emerged to conquer the known world; when gladiators fought to a bloody death in the Colosseum; and when Hannibal led his invincible army and his war elephants across the Alps. Now you can experience all these legendary moments and more, while building cities and settlements that can grow and develop over time.

The game's story puts you in the role of Jacob Angelus, a captain in the Northern Star Alliance. Your home planet, Morningstar Prime, is currently under siege by Imperial Terran forces led by the ruthless Imperator Vlaana. As you make your way through the campaign, an alien race, known as the Virons, will eventually get involved in both sides of the conflict.

Narrated by Sam Neill, National Geographic's SuperCroc is a crash course in all things crocodile. Although it's sure to appeal to those with an interest in prehistoric life, it's as much about the present as the past, since crocodilians still roam the earth and Sarcosuchus imperator wasn't much different--just a whole lot bigger (40 feet long). Paleontologist Paul Sereno would like to learn everything he can about the crocodile bones he has unearthed in the Sahara, so he and reptile expert Brady Barr travel the world in an attempt to re-create the life of the giant creature (animation also helps tell the story). The result is that Sereno is able to have a life-size model built. SuperCroc is a fascinating program that doesn't stint on details. Consequently, it isn't for the very young (6 or younger) as the footage of crocs chomping down on large mammals may prove disturbing. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

A few years after the fateful events in Part 1 of the "Two Worlds" saga, the power of Gandohar, the Dark Imperator, is at its peak.
