Tanya Denise Tucker (born October 10, 1958, in Seminole, Texas) is an American country music artist who had her first hit, "Delta Dawn", in 1972 at the age of 13. Over the succeeding decades, Tucker became one of the few child performers to mature into adulthood without losing her audience, and during the course of her career, she notched a streak of Top 10 and Top 40 hits.

She has produced a long string of successful albums, several nominations for awards from the Country Music Association, and hit songs that includes 1973's "What's Your Mama's Name?" and "Blood Red and Goin' Down," 1975's "Lizzie and the Rainman," and 1988's "Strong Enough to Bend".

Combinatorics of Spreads and Parallelisms

Combinatorics of Spreads and Parallelisms
Publisher: CRC Press | 664 Pages | ISBN: 1439819467 | PDF | 6 MB

Combinatorics of Spreads and Parallelisms covers all known finite and infinite parallelisms as well as the planes comprising them. It

also presents a complete analysis of general spreads and partitions of vector spaces that provide groups enabling the construction

of subgeometry partitions of projective spaces.

Professor Naum Ya. Vilenkin is not only a distinguished mathematician but also a gifted popularizer of significant mathematics. His "Stories about Sets" (Academic Press, 1968) ranged from a discussion of infinities to a discussion of the dimension of a manifold. His present book on combinatorics is a leisurely tour which takes the reader from very simple combinatorial problems to recurrence relations and generating functions and requires no more than a high school background in mathematics. The book includes a collection of hundreds (439) of problems with solutions. ...

Combinatorics and Reasoning: Representing, Justifying and Building Isomorphisms (Mathematics Education Library)

Springer | 2010-06-29 | ISBN: 0387981314 | 126 pages | PDF | 14 MB

Combinatorics and Reasoning: Representing, Justifying and Building Isomorphisms is based on the accomplishments of a cohort group of learners from first grade through high school and beyond, concentrating on their work on a set of combinatorics tasks. By studying these students, the editors gain insight into the foundations of proof building, the tools and environments necessary to make connections, activities to extend and generalize combinatoric learning, and even explore implications of this learning on the undergraduate level.

Applied Probability
ISBN: 1441971645 | 2010 | PDF | 452 pages | 3 MB

Applied Probability presents a unique blend of theory and applications, with special emphasis on mathematical modeling, computational techniques, and examples from the biological sciences. It can serve as a textbook for graduate students in applied mathematics, biostatistics, computational biology, computer science, physics, and statistics. Readers should have a working knowledge of multivariate calculus, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, and elementary probability theory. Chapter 1 reviews elementary probability and provides a brief survey of relevant results from measure theory. Chapter 2 is an extended essay on calculating expectations. Chapter 3 deals with probabilistic applications of convexity, inequalities, and optimization theory. Chapters 4 and 5 touch on combinatorics and combinatorial optimization.
